about

Project Storm Mode was initially an EP produced by Dj Static but after connecting with Ide of Creative Juices, the project took on a whole new different direction. The content is very diverse ranging from social issues such as race in the America today to the current state of hip hop and personal situations CF experiences during the creative process.

The "Intro" is reminiscent of Jay Electronica the way he rhymes off of movie back ground style theme music. "Another Battle" tells of CF's ordeal with family issues and experiencing racism as a light skinned Hispanic living in a predominantly white neighborhood. “I Will” is an upbeat track that compels the listener to become more engaged in what is going on in the world. “Walk With Me” is a song on an industry beat which deals with the complexity of race and ethnicity in post racial America and how we, as human beings are all connected in some way.

8 songs are produced by Dj Static, 5 songs by Ide, 2 by Frank Sassoon, and 2 by Niroshima beats.

By listening one would not think of this project as a mixtape but actually as an album. Storm mode is the calm before the song a precursor to something greater.
